 The Testing Laboratory for Cardio + Vascular Devices is an autonomous and independent part of the

Institute for ImplantTechnology and Biomaterials e.V.
Medical device testing methodologies developed within "IIB e.V." or the University of Rostock are formalized in the Testing Laboratory for Cardio + Vascular Devices and are made available to product developers, notified bodies or third-parties as standardized test methods for design verification, for research purposes or to answer specific questions.
The main emphasis of the Testing Laboratory is stent and catheter testing in accordance with ISO and EN standards, as well as other testing of medical products / devices in accordance and within the scope of 93/42/EWG.
Due to the close collaboration with scientific institutes of the University of Rostock, innovation and realization of ideas for the development of new test methods are always possible, also for industrial customers.

The QM system of the Testing Laboratory is in accordance with the requirements of the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of calibration and testing laboratories".
